Routine

Morning

• Wake up between 7-10AM (if she's whining she's gotta go)
• Out for a quick bathroom trip (usually #1 and #2, not always)
  • If she poops, wipe her butt with an Earth Wipe every time.
  • After her first pee trip, wipe her genitals with Duoxos (once a day, in the morning only).
• One level scoop of Hill’s food (the scoop is in the bag) (if she waits to eat, tell her "OK")
• When you set down her breakfast bowl, you have to say "OK" for her to eat. For some reason this doesn't apply to dinner.
• One pill pocket with a Crananidin and Zyrtec in it

Zelda will then usually hang out and sleep until around 1-2pm, either in her bed or on the couch with you, unless you are doing something, and then she will follow you around relentlessly.

Afternoon

She will start to get rowdy and restless in the early afternoon and will probably want to play a bit and need to go out. This is also usually when we do her big walk, but she is cool with a big walk whenever really.

If it is over 75 degrees during the day while we’re gone, she might overheat on too long a walk, in which case an early morning or evening long walk might be better.

Evening

• Around 6pm, feed her one level scoop of Hill’s food (the scoop is in the bag) in the pink bowl.
• She gets one bone-shaped pumpkin cookie after her dinner, and she will definitely not let you forget this. Feed it to her one half at a time.
• We take her out one last time before bed (for us, it’s usually 11-12).
  • For last call, she'll expect 2 treats: one to get into her harness, and one to get her down from the couch.
  • When you get back in, wipe her off, then she expects 2 more treats post-wipe.

Walks

• She hates when it is rainy, cold, or windy, and might pull to try to get home.
• She is very friendly with other dogs and all people. We keep her at a distance from small kids because she gets too excited and tries to knock them over.
• We will leave out her 30 ft leash and outdoor balls if you want to bring her to the park and run her around a bit.
• She has a brown jacket she wears when it’s cold out—usually under 40º we’ll throw it on her. She hates taking it off, but if you treat her while pulling it off over her head, she tolerates it.
